Used Driver Buying Guide
Drivers are one of the most searched used golf club categories because newer heads can be expensive and prior-generation models often still perform well. The key is matching launch, spin, and shaft fit to your swing.
Check loft and shaft first
Loft and shaft flex shape launch and spin. A bargain driver with the wrong shaft can be a poor buy, while a prior-generation model with the right setup can be excellent value.
Inspect head condition
Look closely at the crown, face, sole, and adapter. Crown dents, face damage, loose adapters, or questionable shaft repairs should materially affect price.
Compare by model family
Compare similar models in the same brand family and release era. Pricing can differ sharply between low-spin, max-forgiveness, and draw-biased heads.
